A day in the Life of a Data Scientist Manager | Sapient Global Markets Bangalore reviews

We often know what daily work-life of senior software engineers or even a team lead is, since as software engineers, we interact with them usually. As our work experience tends to grow more than 10+ years, roles and responsibilities vary across different organizations as well as different technologies.

If you know what a manager's day looks like, you will be indulging in training and preparing for those activities subconsciously early. With fast-paced appraisals and digital disruptions, staying ahead and ever-relevant is even more important.

Many college students and juniors have asked me what the day in the life of a Data Scientist Manager looks like. So here I am writing about it. I am also writing a Sapient Consulting Bangalore feedback entailing the same.

What are the usual tasks and processes for me?

I am going to tell my experience, this may not apply to other organizations, domains or even projects.

I have been working in Publicis Sapient for the last 3 years as Manager Technology for a Data Science Division. I am part of an internal team that does requirement gathering, feasibility analysis and finally develop use cases to be shown to prospective clients.

Being a part of the Data Science team, I work on new technologies, new devices and gather which use cases are going to be relevant in the near future. So, my work is both exciting and challenging. For example, I have worked on Big Data, Internet of Things, Data Lakes and Quantum Computing, all in two years of working here.

In this Sapient Global Markets Bangalore reviews, I will tell you how my work is broadly divided. Please continue reading this post.

New Client Proposal: I get to do an estimation of project delivery, project planning, solutions finding for different clients separately. Based on my work, we sometimes bag or lose a client, so work pressure is present. But since it is a team effort in conjugation with Senior Managers and Directors, the pressure is manageable. There are no hard feelings and my team is often applauded for client conversions or new use case development.

Data Scientist skills come in handy in Prototype Development once all the above activities are completed and senior management gives a “go ahead”. Data analysis, Data procurement, Data Quality Analysis are some of the major tasks which I need to do while analyzing data provided by a prospective client (or available online freely such as Google research data, research papers) is usable for Machine Learning training or not.

Data preprocessing, Data enrichment, Exploratory Data Analysis are some of the steps which every data scientist goes through while working on a project. The same goes for my team. We follow the agile-based project development, where we discuss the progress, problems in daily scrum meetings.

Finally, I present the client with the best possible solution. This cycle repeats every three-four months.

Stakeholder management is another essential responsibility of mine. I maintain the balance between the Publicis Sapient Leadership team, the Client, Sales team, as well as Internal team under me. Cost-benefit analysis, agile-based project management are some of the managerial tasks. For People Management, inter-team handling, communication, presentation, and negotiation are some of the necessary skills.

I hope it was worthwhile Publicis Sapient Bangalore reviews for you.
