Its been 60+ days that we’ve been sitting at home. Working
from home has become the new normal for all of us. I’m sure while some of us
are enjoying the comfort of our cozy homes, some of us are also missing the
vibe of our respective workplaces. I cannot say for the rest of you, but for
me, I surely miss going to work. My organization, Sapient Bangalore is actually
incredible in terms of providing a positive environment to its employees which
after a point makes work really pleasurable.
Sapient as an organization has always been a step ahead when
it comes to its work culture and if you talk specifically about Sapient Bangalore’s Work Culture,
I would say it’s one of the best as far as IT sector is concerned. Sapient has
always been known for enabling its workforce which is great for both, the
organization and the employees. During my tenure, I’ve seen numerous people
join and learn so many new things which at the end enabled them to do much
better professionally. For any individual, who wants to grow professionally in
life, learning is of utmost importance and Sapient provides ample opportunities
for the same.
The entire vibe of Sapient is like that across all domains.
I have friends from different processes who share stories of how the management
is so approachable and how cooperative the teams are. So it gives an overall
idea of the work culture across the entire organization. Another fact that
justifies Sapient’s workculture is its less attrition rate. In today’s world, when people switch
jobs so often, it’s almost hard to believe that there are so many people in
Sapient who are working since 10-15 years and the cherry on the top is, when
they’re asked, what made them stay for such a long time? Most of them had
something similar to say. It’s the “Work Life balance”.
Coming back to the point where I started, I miss the same
positive and energetic work environment while sitting at home. I miss my
building, my workstation, my colleagues, the cafeteria and the useless
discussions we had there during our breaks. I also miss that competitive spirit
amongst me and my other teammates that we used to have when a task was assigned
to us. I just wish if we could go back in time and erase those days which made
so many people suffer and made so many changes in our lives!

Thanks for writing on this topic. This kind of Sapient employee feedback helps people know about how workplaces are accepting this new normal. I also miss my office a lot. Hope we can work again inside our offices soon!
