Publicis Sapient places a lot of focus on diversity and inclusion through multiple initiatives in the organization. When I became part of one of the D&I initiatives, I began to appreciate the Sapient Bangalore work culture even more.
In May 2021, my team started designing the logo of
Publicis Sapient to be used during “Pride month”. Till that time, I was unaware
of LGBTQ+ community struggles and what initiatives different organizations were
taking to ease their journey.
During design discussions, various aspects of their
struggle, discriminations faced were also discussed. At that time, I realized
that managers and senior management are passionate about this cause. They
believed that their efforts will be noticed by people and bring a change in the
attitude of the public in general.
We have finished designing the logo and now I
proudly use it in my email signature to show that I support these people. It is
a subtle, but powerful, way to show our support.
Ensuring a good work-life balance, job security, the
work environment applies to the general work culture, but this special effort
for LGBTQ has touched my heart.
I have read in Sapient employee reviews
that PS’ Spring program is also changing the lives of many women by helping
them return to work. I hope Publicis Sapient continues these initiatives!
